President's Emerging Scholars (PES)

The President's Emerging Scholars (PES) program is a four-year opportunity for select undergraduate students with diverse backgrounds and characteristics. PES students are accomplished, involved, and resilient. Participants receive a number of benefits, including peer mentoring and opportunities for engagement to ensure a positive and successful University of Minnesota experience.

Office of Undergraduate Research

The Office of Undergraduate Research oversees a wide variety of research opportunities for undergraduate students including credit courses, research-related jobs through student employment, full-time summer projects at the University of Minnesota and other institutions around the country, and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP).

Center for Academic Planning & Exploration (CAPE)

The mission of the Center for Academic Planning and Exploration (CAPE) is to help undergraduate students find their academic home and declare their major by working directly with undecided students to provide high-touch, individualized services that guide them through the decision-making process, and partnering with colleges and units to enhance their services to work more effectively with exploring students.

The Office of Admissions coordinates undergraduate student enrollment efforts and collaborates campus-wide with colleges, departments, and the units within the Office of Undergraduate Education to meet the University’s enrollment goals.

Academic Support Resources (ASR)

Academic Support Resources (ASR) is an integrated unit providing streamlined services throughout the University. ASR is comprised of the Offices of Classroom Management, the Registrar, Student Finance, and ASR Information Technology, Continuity & Compliance, and One Stop Student Services.
