OUE Mission and Strategic Priorities

Mission

Elevate the campus experience so that every student can achieve academic success, cultivate a sense of belonging, prioritize their wellbeing, and be empowered to thrive by engaging in a University of Minnesota experience uniquely their own.

Strategic Priorities and Goals

Elevate the Academic Experience to Support Learning, Development, and Future Success

Our goal is to strengthen the undergraduate academic journey through engaging curriculum, high-impact learning, and career-connected experiences that promote persistence and post-graduation success. When students find meaning, connection, and relevance in their academic experiences, they are more likely to persist, thrive, and graduate prepared for the workforce and beyond.

Improve the student experience through shared, data-informed collaboration and seamless, supportive systems

Our goal is to build a cohesive, navigable, and student-centered undergraduate experience. To foster student success, we need coordinated systems that actively reduce barriers, clarify expectations, and are reinforced through shared priorities, transparent data, and collaborative campus-wide efforts.

Eliminate Opportunity Gaps for Students

Our goal is to close retention, graduation, and engagement gaps for at-promise students. Persistent disparities in student outcomes require targeted, equity-centered strategies that address systemic barriers and provide coordinated support.
