Interim Vice Provost & Dean for Undergraduate Education
Amy Pittenger is a pharmacist and professor at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. Throughout her career, she has practiced in a wide array of settings, including critical care and underserved populations to clinical research and the pharmaceutical industry. Her current research focuses on educational design and interprofessional education.
Dr. Pittenger has held numerous leadership positions within the College of Pharmacy, including serving as Department Head for Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems, Interim Associate Dean for Education, and Interim Dean. At the University level, her influence extends to roles such as Chair of the Faculty Consultative Committee and Faculty Liaison to the Provost. A decorated educator and leader, she has received several of the University’s highest honors, including the President’s Award for Outstanding Service and induction into the Academy of Distinguished Teachers.
