Undergrad Update

This regular student eNewsletter is a collaborative effort between the Office for Student Affairs and the Office of Undergraduate Education to improve student communication at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in order to help all undergraduate students be aware of events, resources, and information that is available to them. Content from the Undergrad Update can also be found on the myU Web portal.

If you have questions contact contact Laura Nygren at or Bill O'Connor at

Who provides content?

All University of Minnesota,Twin Cities, departments that work with undergraduates should have a representative to provide content to theUndergrad Update as well as myU.

Once your department selects a representative, join the Student Communication Content Providers Google Group. If you do not know who represents your department, check with your communications manager/director.

Can students opt-out?

No. The reality of being a U of M undergrad is that there is always some information that you need to know. The decision to read this information is always yours, but too often we hear students say "I wish I had known that option was available." Not everything included in the Undergrad Update will apply to you, but it is our job to make sure all students have access to information about the services and resources available to them.
