As the Associate Vice Provost for Student Success, LeeAnn Melin provides central leadership and coordination for undergraduate student support areas including academic advising, learning support services, and various central programs and initiatives that promote student success. LeeAnn oversees the Center for Academic Planning & Exploration, SMART Learning Commons, the President's Emerging Scholars program, central advising initiatives, and student communications. In addition, she serves on the OUE Executive Team and other campus-wide committees.
Over the course of her U of M career, LeeAnn has worked as the director for the Office for Student Engagement and as the director of Orientation & First Year Programs. She has taught undergraduate classes through the Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing and the University's Leadership Minor.
LeeAnn earned her PhD in Higher Education from the University of Minnesota, her master's degree from Northern Michigan University, and a BA from the University of Minnesota.
