About Us

The Office of the Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education provides support to students and academic units across campus. Our initiatives focus on developing excellence and distinctiveness in arenas that will help us attract and retain the best students while creating a distinctive educational program that will graduate students who can solve problems, communicate effectively, think critically, and have the knowledge and skills to be productive life-long learners, leaders, and global citizens.

Recruit, educate, challenge, support, and graduate outstanding students.

The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) is to provide a distinctive, transformative educational experience of the highest quality in an urban environment, within a research University that cares deeply about the quality of teaching and learning, to prepare students for challenging and productive careers, positions of leadership in our society, graduate or professional education, and lifelong learning.
